Named Designer of the Year at Maison&Objet 2020, famous Cypriot designer Michael Anastassiades is a fan of the purist approach. Unclassifiable, My Lines is a vertical pendant that inhabits space from floor to ceiling, creating an exceptional light scenography while ensuring quality lighting. My Lines is designed to be placed where you would normally place a floor lamp. The designer plays around with the traditional form of classic utilitarian objects (such as the floor lamp or pendant), to offer inventive reinterpretations of them, always rational but sculptural. My Lines consists of two long suspended light tubes that almost touch the ground. Reduced to their purest essence, these abstract luminous forms aren’t lacking in physical, sensual, enigmatic presence. The height-adjustable tubes hold LED strips protected by opal silicone diffusers. You can rotate the tubes with a simple, intuitive movement to continuously vary the landscape of your domestic lighting.‎ Reflecting contemporary lifestyles, My Lines offers a new way to inhabit space, especially in an open space environment. For Michael Anastassiades, it goes without saying that a "light which is only on 20% of the time must be particularly attractive when switched off, interacting through its presence alone with the environment". This is how he forged his style from simple signs and volumes (a disc, a sphere, a line...).
