Description
Contra floor lamp by Muuto is a sculptural and expressive light where balance, movement, and form meet. The counterweighted construction makes it easy to adjust the lamp’s position with a smooth motion, while the gently curved tubes create an elegant silhouette. The voluminous lampshade and diffuser cast a pleasant, atmospheric light. The floor lamp combines aluminium and steel with a stable concrete base and looks great beside the sofa, the armchair, or in a reading nook.
Our Stylist Says
I love this lamp for its sleek, minimalist silhouette and the striking contrast between the anthracite black and concrete finishes. It works particularly well in modern, industrial or Scandi-inspired interiors, adding both functionality and a sculptural element to a space. Practical styling tips include placing it next to a reading nook or as a statement piece in a corner of a living room, where its adjustable arm can provide targeted task lighting. Pair it with neutral tones or raw textures to highlight its understated elegance, and ensure its height allows it to balance well within the room without overwhelming other design elements.
