Knotted, tufted or hand-woven, our rugs perpetuate traditional weaving techniques that bear witness to a culture dating back thousands of years. Genuine decorative elements offering thermal and acoustic insulation, they add a unique and warm touch to your home furnishings. Product Details • 100% wool • Craftsmanship: Hand woven • Weight: 4800g/m² • Pile height: 20mm Quality Info Wool is a warm and comfortable natural fibre. As well as being hard-wearing and durable over time, wool rugs provide acoustic and thermal comfort. Care Advice • Some materials such as wool are very fibrous and you can actually observe a piling during the first weeks of use: this is normal, because the carpet "bursts" by rejecting its excess fibres. Remove lint as much as possible by hand and definitely do not use the vacuum cleaner in brushing mode because this has the effect of pulling the fibres and tearing them out.. The pilling will improve over time. • We advise you to vacuum it very little the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much, always without using the brush. • Remove stains immediately with a clean damp cloth. • Dry clean recommended. Our Stylist Says

I love this hand-woven wool rug for its rich texture and warm, inviting colours, which can really anchor a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms or bedrooms with neutral or earthy tones, adding a cosy touch without overpowering the space. For styling, consider layering it over a larger, plain rug or pairing it with natural wood furniture to enhance its organic feel. Practical tips include placing it under a coffee table or at the foot of the bed to create a defined, comfortable area - just make sure to use a rug pad to keep it securely in place and protect your floors. Its artisanal look makes it versatile for both modern and rustic interiors, offering a timeless yet contemporary vibe.

About La Redoute

Founded in 1837, La Redoute brings French-inspired style and elegance to your home. From trendy pieces to enduring essentials, La Redoute provides options to create a stylish and inviting space.

A Legacy of French Fashion

La Redoute has been around for 180 years. It started as a place that made wool products and grew into a popular online store for home and fashion items from France.

They've always tried to bring the unique French style to everyone and have changed with the times, especially in understanding the changing roles of women. For them, it's not just about selling products; it's about celebrating the art of everyday living and the quintessential French "je ne sais quoi".

Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness

La Redoute's commitment to the environment and sustainability is unwavering. They have taken commendable steps like joining the Better Cotton Initiative and ensuring their paper stock comes from sustainably-managed forests.

As a proud member of the Fur Free Retailer Program, they stand against the use of real fur and certain other materials, showcasing their concern for animal well-being.

Their transportation choices, too, echo their eco-conscious ethos. By using means like barges and trains, they actively reduce CO2 emissions, highlighting their drive to make choices beneficial for the planet.

Championing Social Responsibility

Beyond its fashion-forward vision, La Redoute actively champions societal values. Their signature on the UN's Global Compact underscores their commitment to sustainable development.

They take pride in being accessible to all, with their website catering to both the hearing and visually impaired. Moreover, La Redoute's dedication to social causes is evident in their support for equal opportunities, their stand against violence towards women through partnerships like Solfa, and their endeavours to empower employees, fostering a culture of responsible entrepreneurship.
