Description

Murray Up and Down Outdoor Cylinder Wall Light with Photocell, Black

Our Stylist Says

I really like the Murray Up and Down outdoor wall light for its sleek, modern design that suits a variety of exteriors. Its black finish adds a contemporary edge and works particularly well in minimalist or industrial-style settings. I would recommend pairing it with clean lines and neutral tones for a cohesive look. Practical tips include placing it near entry points or along pathways to maximise its functional light and enhance safety. Its photocell feature ensures the light is energy-efficient, turning on only when needed, which makes it a great choice for eco-conscious homes. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that can elevate outdoor spaces with both style and practicality.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
