Description
For Matière Grise, the PaulinePlus Luis studio designed the Multitude collection. These lights have borrowed their aesthetics from the rhythm created by the repetitive silhouettes of the various chimneys on the rooftops of Paris. In reference to these urban landscapes, their shape is the result of the interlocking and repetition of horizontal and vertical tubes, creating architectural mini-landscapes. Multitude offers a unique vision of the freestanding lamp, composed exclusively of tubes: coloured steel tubes for the body, a sandblasted glass tube as a diffuser. Functional and ultra-design, this lamp is like a sculpture that simply begs to be exhibited on a shelf, console table or desk. Pauline Capdo and Luis Bellenger love to tell stories and reinterpret them through their projects. Their work is driven by the desire to offer a dreamy vision of day-to-day life through simple pieces, inspired by pre-existing shapes and codes. Swinging between craftsmanship, art and industry, their experimental journey led them to adding a poetic aspect to industrial production.
