Description

Designer: Theresa Rand The ÉCHASSE collection brings a minimalist silhouette with a distinctive, playful touch to modern and traditional spaces. Theresa Rand's playful concept wonderfully interprets the word "échasse": French for "stilts". The slender, stilt-like legs allow the glass shapes to float delicately, conveying a sense of lightness while providing stability. The ÉCHASSE vase is the first piece in the now-iconic collection, which is inspired by laboratory test tubes. The teardrop shape is equally elegant whether it's storing flowers on the desk or in the living room, or when it's empty. The one of a kind glass gradients give the design depth and contrast with the clear lines of the legs. Made in Europe

Our Stylist Says

I love the Mouth-Blown Vase Échasse for its sleek, understated silhouette that adds a refined touch to both modern and minimalist interiors. Its generous height makes it perfect for a statement piece in a corner or an entryway, especially when paired with a single, elegant stem or dried flowers for a minimalist aesthetic. It works well in neutral-toned spaces, providing a subtle colour boost, but can also serve as a contrasting piece in more vibrant settings. Practical styling tips include placing it on a low table or mantle where its clean lines can be appreciated, and pairing it with other metallic accents to emphasise its contemporary charm. Overall, it's a versatile piece that combines craftsmanship with functional design.

About Westwing

Westwing began in Munich in 2011 when former ELLE Decoration Germany editor Delia Lachance and her co-founders set out to combine interior inspiration with shoppable design - creating a shoppable magazine that evolved into one of Europe's most influential design-led home living destinations. Today, the company is present in over 20 European markets and is widely recognised as a premium, curated space for furniture, lighting, textiles and décor.

A Curated Approach Rooted in European Design

Westwing's philosophy centres on curated, design-forward living - blending timeless classics with contemporary pieces sourced from international creators alongside its own Westwing Collection, designed in-house in Munich. The brand partners with established names like Kartell, Le Creuset, Louis Poulsen and Georg Jensen to bring a broad yet coherent style spectrum to customers.

2026 UK Launch: A New Design Destination

In February 2026, Westwing officially launched in the United Kingdom, marking its 23rd European market and bringing its curated approach to British design lovers for the first time. With furniture, décor, lighting and accessories selected for UK homes, the launch reflects Westwing's belief that inspiring interiors start with thoughtful curation and high‑quality products.

More Than a Shop: Services and Support

Alongside its product range, Westwing offers bespoke support through services like the Westwing Design Service, which provides personalised interior planning with in-house designers and realistic 3D concepts. Complementing online shopping are delivery and assembly options that help bring curated interiors to life with ease.

Beautiful Living, Curated for Today

Whether you're refreshing a living room, updating a dining space or adding accent pieces, Westwing focuses on beautiful living - inviting customers to express personal style through quality, curated design. By blending European-inspired aesthetics with a fresh perspective on interiors, Westwing aims to become a go-to destination for design-minded homeowners in the UK and beyond.
