William Morris (1834-1896), artist, philosopher and political theorist, was one of the most outstanding and influential designers of the Arts & Crafts Movement. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
