William Morris's last-ever pattern - made originally for wallpaper - is a mysterious brooding design from 1894. The beguiling tulip heads and unfurling foliage lend the impression the flowers could just lurch free from the covers. The pattern transfers beautifully into bedding with Spring Thickets midnight colouring counterpart on the reverse of the duvet, creating a day and night offset. The single set contains one Oxford pillowcase. All other sizes contain two Oxford pillowcases. Bedding sizes To fit duvet/pillow size (cm) Oxford pillowcase to fit 50cm x 75cm excluding frill Single duvet cover to fit 135cm x 200cm Double duvet cover to fit 200cm x 200cm Kingsize duvet cover to fit 225cm x 220cm Super kingsize duvet cover to fit 260cm x 220cm
The Morris & Co. Spring Thicket duvet, or duvet cover set, is a thoughtful addition for those looking to introduce a touch of timeless pattern and colour. I love how it bridges traditional design with a contemporary sensibility, making it versatile for both classic and eclectic interiors. It works particularly well when paired with neutral or muted bedding layers to highlight the intricate design, or layered with cashmere throws and textured cushions for a cosy, layered look. For practical styling, consider keeping walls or bedside tables simple to let the duvet do the talking - it’s a statement piece that can anchor a room’s colour palette and add visual interest without overwhelming.
