Designed by Morris in 1876, Pimpernel is one of Morris' greatest designs. With its mirrored symmetry and curling stems circling wind-swept flowers, this glorious rug retains all the detail of the original Morris design whilst at the same time creating a totally different look. The design has been enlarged in scale and repainted in soft watercolour tones. The playful, intertwining design inspired by nature runs throughout this wool-rich, hand-tufted rug which has an intricate multi-dimensional look and feel. John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
