I’m a big fan of the Moro cabin bed in blue and white because it instantly combines sleep, storage and play without overwhelming a room. Its crisp white frame and bold blue canopy suit both Scandi-inspired nurseries and seaside-style kids’ rooms. You can pair it with pared-back walls in soft grey or off-white, then layer in nautical stripes, rope baskets and simple wooden toys to keep the look cohesive.
For practical styling, tuck roll-up blinds or fairy lights under the canopy to create a cosy den, and use under-bed boxes or wicker baskets to hide away toys and bedding. A neutral jute rug beneath the ladder grounds the space, while a couple of scatter cushions - perhaps in yellow or red - add a touch of warmth without clashing with the core palette.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
