I really like this hand-spun boucle coir doormat because it brings a natural, textured element to a variety of interiors. Its neutral tones work beautifully in rustic, coastal, or minimalist schemes, adding warmth and tactile interest without overpowering the space. It’s both practical and stylish-perfect for guiding visitors in and helping to keep dirt at bay. For styling, I’d pair it with wooden or stone door surrounds and keep surrounding accessories simple to let the mat’s texture stand out. It’s durable enough for outdoor use but also lends a cosy, welcoming feel at the entrance of a hallway or porch.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
