Description

Formed of a solid Sapele wood cylinder that holds a substantial circular shade aloft, the Moragas Table Light's white cotton concertina ribbon shade with a silk border is traditionally used for bookbinding and creates a beautiful texture when light shines out from within. At age forty-four, architect and chairman of the Industrial Design Association Antoni de Moragas Gallisà designed this lamp to use in his personal office space, and allegedly would place notes and cards marking the visits he received between the folds in the ribbon shade. The Moragas Table Light's three bulbs ensure a well-distributed source of light, warmed by the white cotton of the shade to create a bright yet calming emanation, and would enhance any corner of your space with its timeless blend of materials and useful form. Requires: 3 x Max 8W E14 bulbs

Our Stylist Says

I love the Moragas Table Light for its clean, modern design that effortlessy adds warmth and sophistication to a space. Its tactile wooden base and soft fabric shade make it versatile enough to work in both contemporary and mid-century inspired interiors. It’s particularly effective paired with natural materials or in cosy corner setups to create an inviting atmosphere. Practical styling tips include placing it on side tables or sideboards alongside textured books or decorative objects to enhance its understated elegance. Keep it simple, and let the warm glow be the focal point in relaxed living rooms or bedroom bedside tables.
