Coordinate with matching curtains to create a cohesive, opulent interior. Natural History Museum x Dunelm This range is part of the Moorlands collection. The wild and rugged expanses of moorland habitats have been a rich source of inspiration to poets, playwrights and authors for generations. While they may at first glance appear desolate, in fact they support an array of specialist wildlife, from red deer and mountain hares to birds of prey such as hen harriers and merlins. Often dominated by heather, moorlands are also characterised by low-growing shrubs, grasses and bog-mosses often on damp peaty soils. Bog-mosses or Sphagnum form ‘living carpets’ that absorb vast amounts of carbon, so it is vitally important that we protect these habitats. Through our collection with the Natural History Museum, we want to draw attention to these incredible landscapes, treasured by walkers and wildlife enthusiasts alike. © The Trustees of the Natural History Museum, London 2025. I love the Moorland Velvet made-to-order tieback for its luxurious texture and versatile design. It works particularly well in elegant or traditional interiors, adding a touch of sophistication to curtains without overpowering the overall aesthetic. It's ideal for creating a polished, customised look-perfect for layered or more formal window treatments. For styling tips, consider pairing it with rich velvet or silk curtains to emphasise the tactile quality, and use contrasting colours for a modern edge, or keep it monochrome for a classic vibe. Its practicality combined with a refined appearance makes it a subtle yet impactful finishing touch.
