The lamp consists of a large numbers of ring-shaped, discs which are suspended around the centrally located bulb. The fan-shaped discs hide the bulb and at the same time serve as reflectors, through which a soft light is spread throughout the room. The Moon pendant is one of Verner Panton's earliest luminaires. It consists of ten ring-shaped blades positioned in such a way that they can move. The Moon pendant justifiably gets its name from its shape and the quality of light coming from it.
I really like this Moon Pendant for its sleek, timeless design that combines mid-century modern charm with a contemporary edge. Its clean, white finish makes it incredibly versatile - perfect for brightening up both minimalist interiors and Scandinavian-inspired schemes. It's especially effective in creating a focal point over dining tables or in living areas, where its soft, diffused light can be appreciated. Practical styling tips include pairing it with other understated furnishings to let the pendant shine, or layering with warm, textured elements to offset the cool tones. Its bold shape also works well in more industrial or modern interiors, adding a sculptural element that isn’t overwhelming.
