Description

The elegant Monument Low Console marks the latest collaboration between The Conran Shop and Gabriel Tan. Each cabinet is a fusion of solid and veneered oak with a solid ash base. Completed with a heatproof Fenix top, the innovative, lightfast material is renowned for its anti-bacterial, fingerprint-proof and dust-repellent properties, as well as its resistance to impact and scratching. With studios in Singapore and Portugal, Gabriel Tan's work crosses the borders of craft, culture and technology. Striving to subvert archetypes and reinterpret luxury pieces, the Monument collection beautifully demonstrates Tan's aptitude for functional, creative design.

Our Stylist Says

I love the way the monument low console blends natural oak and ash for a modern yet warm look, making it a versatile piece. It works particularly well in contemporary or Scandi-inspired interiors, where its clean lines and minimalist feel complement a pared-back aesthetic. Practical styling tips include using it as a hallway runner with decorative trays and plants, or as a media console in the living room by pairing it with sleek lamps or artwork above. Its low profile also makes it a great base for a collection of keepsakes or books without overwhelming the space. Overall, it’s a stylish, functional piece that adds subtle texture and character to various interior styles.
