I’m a fan of the Modi extending table because its solid reclaimed-style top and slim metal legs with brass tips strike a balance between industrial and contemporary. The extension leaf tucks away neatly, so it’s just as at home in a compact city flat as it is in a larger open-plan dining space.
Styling tip: anchor it with textured seating - think leather or boucle chairs - and layer in a simple table runner or a low vase of foliage to break up the wood grain. In cooler months, swap out accessories for metallic candleholders to pick up on those brassleg accents.
