I’m a big fan of this three-tier white bedside unit because its clean lines and open shelving suit everything from Scandi-inspired schemes to pared-back contemporary rooms. The compact footprint means you get plenty of storage without the bulk of a closed cabinet - perfect for showing off a stack of books on one shelf, a small plant or vase on another, and a lamp on top. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
