Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Mito bookcase for its clean lines and open-plan shelving, which makes it easy to zone a room without blocking light. Its white finish works particularly well in Scandinavian or contemporary spaces, where it can either blend into neutral walls or provide a crisp contrast against a darker accent. For styling, aim for a mix of books, decorative boxes and small potted plants to break up the geometry. Group objects in odd numbers and vary heights to keep things from looking too uniform. Use a couple of larger pieces on lower shelves - like a sculptural vase or a stack of oversized books - and lighter, more delicate items towards the top to draw the eye upward. A couple of framed photos or small artworks leaned casually can add personality without cluttering the overall look.

About The Range

Founded in 1989, The Range is the fastest growing retailer in the UK with an extensive selection to cater to a variety of styles and budgets. The Range provides affordable and quality products to enhance your living space.

Humble Beginnings

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.

A Visionary Leader

Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.

More Than Just Stores

You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
