Top this design with a sleek flat-screen TV, then deck out vertical open shelves with your favourite books and DVDs, and framed family photos, while using a horizontal open shelf on the right for your new video game console, tuner and cable box. Slab doors of the cabinets are opened without handles through simple but innovative solutions. A slightly exposed/extended door edge is used as a handle in this design.

I love the “Misti” console for its clean, industrial lines and the contrast between the matt-black metal frame and warm walnut shelves. It’s solid enough to hold a large screen yet light enough to feel open, making it ideal for loft-style, Scandi or modern living rooms. To style, keep electronics and cables tucked away in the side cabinets or woven baskets, then balance one side with a low stack of books and a sculptural vase, and the other with a trailing plant. A textured rug underneath and a few framed prints above will complete the look without cluttering the space.

Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.

Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
