Description

Inspired by the high-tech precision of a space helmet and the exuberant energy of a disco ball, the Mirror Ball is perhaps out of our most recognisable designs. While a single pendant commands the room, these spheres are designed for spatial play. When arranged in multiples, they create a row of endless reflections and bold, graphic silhouettes Each pendant features a fully serviceable LED module. This integration ensures a longer lifespan and superior energy efficiency without sacrificing performance.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant system for its sleek, contemporary aesthetic and versatility. The mirrored gold globes add a touch of glamour, making it ideal for modern, minimalist spaces such as kitchens, dining areas, or even trendy office environments. It works especially well in interiors with clean lines and neutral palettes, where it can serve as a statement piece or a subtle luxe detail. Practical styling tips include varying the lengths of the pendants for a dynamic look or pairing it with matte finishes and subdued colour schemes to allow the gold accents to shine. Keep the surrounding decor simple to let the pendant system truly stand out and become a focal point of the room.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
