Description

Mira Touch Stick Table Lamp, Ochre

Our Stylist Says

I really like this table lamp because of its clean, understated design and warm ochre shade, which adds a welcoming touch to a variety of interiors. It works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist spaces, but can also bring a soft pop of colour to more neutral schemes. To style it effectively, place it on a side table, console, or bedside table to create cosy, functional lighting. Pair it with neutral-toned accessories or subtly patterned textiles to keep the look cohesive, or use it as a stand-out piece in a more pared-back room. Its simple form makes it versatile, and the warm hue helps to create an inviting atmosphere in living rooms, bedrooms, or even home offices.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
