Description

The Mira 38cm Linen Shade features a Natural toned finish, creating a more vintage, boho look combined with modern styling. Made from linen, the shade comes with an easyfit feature, allowing it to be easily attached to any pre-existing base, encompassing the light to emit a diffused, warm glow throughout the room, projecting a more relaxed atmosphere perfect for bedrooms and living rooms.

Our Stylist Says

This linen shade offers a versatile and timeless option for ceiling lighting, especially suited to interiors that favour a soft, natural feel. I love it because of its understated elegance and ability to blend seamlessly into both contemporary and traditional spaces. It works particularly well with neutral palettes, creating a warm, inviting glow without overpowering the room. For styling, consider pairing it with simple brass or matte black fittings to add a touch of contrast, or in a bedroom or living space with layered lighting to create a cosy atmosphere. Its understated design makes it a flexible choice that can adapt to different decor styles, from Scandi minimalism to rustic charm.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
