Description

The Mira 25cm Linen Shade comes in a modern, grey tone, giving your room a minimal look that matches perfectly among any interior style. This understated styled shade can be easily paired with any pre-existing base, diffusing the light to project a soothing glow into your room, perfect for creating a mood light feature in any living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this shade for its clean, understated look that brings a soft, neutral tone to any room. Its linen material adds subtle texture, making it versatile enough to complement both modern and traditional interiors. The grey colour is especially ideal if you're aiming for a calm, muted palette or want a neutral piece that won't compete with colourful decor. Practical styling tips include pairing it with brass or wooden fittings for a warm touch, or combining it with other grey and natural textiles for a cohesive, layered look. It’s perfect for living rooms, bedrooms, or even kitchens where you want a simple yet refined finishing touch for your lighting.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
