Description

The Minta white painted double bed frame has an exaggerated, statement curved headboard that references French furniture in a contemporary way. Made from solid beech, the magnificent bed has square section uprights that bring the ball end feature up to date and its white finish is pure and clean, creating a light, airy feel in a room. Exclusive to Habitat and part of the Minta bedroom furniture range, which includes a kingsize bed, the bed fits a standard 135cm mattress and is finished in an ecologically friendly, water-based clear matt lacquer.

Our Stylist Says

I love this white painted double bed frame for its classic yet versatile look, making it a great centrepiece in both traditional and contemporary interiors. Its clean, simple lines and neutral shade allow it to easily blend with various colour palettes and bedding styles. For a relaxed, airy feel, pair it with soft linens and textured throws, while adding statement cushions for a pop of colour or pattern. It works beautifully in minimalist, coastal, or feminine schemes, and can be styled with vintage bedside tables or modern lamps to suit your vibe. Practical tip: opt for a low-profile mattress to maximise space and keep the room feeling open and breezy.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
