Description
The legendary Pipistrello lamp is back in a mini and economical version equipped with an LED source! Smaller than its older sister (H 35 cm compared to 86 cm for the original ), the Mini Pipistrello will fit in anywhere: on a desk, a console or bedside table. A cult design object, the Pipistrello lamp was created by Gae Aulenti in 1965. This lamp with its wavy-shaped shade looks like a bat (pipistrello in Italian). The spread wings are captured right before it opens up completely. It is in this momentum frozen in time that the real power of the value, emotion and style of this design icon are found. This lamp gives off a diffuse light. The diffuser, made from opal white methacrylate sits on a conical coloured aluminium base. Mythical and showcased in the greatest museums around the world, Pipistrello is one of those objects that have become part of our universal heritage. This version has a dimmer to adjust the brightness. Original model created in 1965. Lamp made in Italy by the Martinelli Luce factory.
