Description
French designer Axel Chay offers his famous Modulation floor lamp in a version with reduced dimensions: “Petite Modulation”. With its linear design, the Petite Modulation table lamp dresses the room with its graphic, colourful presence. The simple form, both enigmatic and playful, irresistibly attracts attention and stimulates the imagination. This folded steel tube forming a loop evokes an industrial pipe, given a twist by the flashy colour. The opaline glass globe punctuates the silhouette, providing a soft, warm light. A style both full of fantasy yet refined. Anything superfluous has been eliminated to keep only what is essential. The Petite Modulation table lamp won’t go unnoticed, instead becoming a centrepiece in your decor. French designer Axel Chay has a knack for developing a daring language of shapes and colours, borrowing here and there, especially from the 80s, like a Julio le Parc curve or the nostalgic silhouette of an Italian terrace on a summer’s evening, which explode into view. A well-intended slap for conventional design and predictable furniture. With its rudimentary curved shape, lost between a feeling of regression and technical distinction, the tube calls out with its power of interpretation. Modulation rounds off the angles with dexterity, revealing graceful curves, reassuring shapes. This high-quality sculptural piece is handcrafted in Marseille.
Our Stylist Says
I love this mini pink lamp for its playful yet sleek aesthetic-its sculptural form adds a touch of modern character to both contemporary and eclectic interiors. It works particularly well in cosy spaces like bedside tables or desks, where its size and form make a statement without overwhelming the layout. Styling tip: pair it with soft textiles and complementary pink or metallic accents to create a cohesive look. Its bold colour and unique shape also make it a great standalone piece in minimal or monochrome interiors, where it can become an eye-catching focal point.
