Description

The Concrete Mini Marcus Table Lamp in Satin Nickel adds a wonderful, modern edge to your room, featuring a beautiful modern take on a traditional base design that makes a great accent piece in any home. Atop the base is a slim, satin nickel arm holding a large, cylindrical brown shade, providing a beautiful, classic look to the fitting, and creating a warm, soothing atmosphere around the table lamp.

Our Stylist Says

I love this lamp for its clean, contemporary aesthetic and versatile colour palette. The mini concrete base adds an industrial touch while maintaining a minimalist appeal, making it a great fit for modern, urban, or Scandinavian-inspired interiors. It works well on bedside tables, consoles, or sideboards where it provides functional task lighting with a subtle visual impact. To style it effectively, consider pairing it with neutral textiles and natural materials to enhance its understated elegance or using it to add a point of contrast in warmer or darker colour schemes. Its satin nickel detail offers a slightly luxe note, making it adaptable across both casual and more refined spaces.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
