Description

The Millbrook Miller Ottoman Bed provides hidden storage under your mattress, turning wasted space into room for bedding, pillows or seasonal clothes. Handcrafted in the UK with a fully boarded base, it keeps stored items secure and supported. The end-opening design uses gas-lift pistons to raise smoothly for easy access. A contemporary rectangular headboard with a single horizontal line adds subtle detail. Plush velvet fabric feels soft with a subtle sheen and is upholstered by skilled craftspeople in your choice of six curated fabrics. The storage space holds up to 592 litres, enough for duvets, pillows and out-of-season clothing without cluttering wardrobes. The boarded base protects stored items from dust and keeps them organised. The velvet upholstery is durable and practical for everyday bedroom use. It arrives fully assembled, ready to use with two people to move it into place. The headboard comes with fixings included, so you can attach it securely to the frame. About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
