Description

This Millbrook Archer Double Ottoman Bed gives you a place to sleep and plenty of storage space without extra furniture. It's an end-lift ottoman with a gas-lift mechanism that supports the mattress platform as you lift it, so you can reach the 592 litres of space underneath. A fully boarded base keeps stored items secure and stops anything slipping through gaps. The velvet upholstery is smooth with a gentle sheen, and the arched Archer headboard adds a simple, clean look. It's made for double-size mattresses and works well in compact bedrooms or anywhere clutter needs managing. Handcrafted in the UK, each bed is made to order by skilled upholstery teams. The velvet fabric feels soft and comfortable, and the headboard attaches to the bed with fixings included. The whole unit arrives fully assembled, though two people are recommended for moving it into position. The side rail sits at a practical height, and the internal storage area is deep enough for bedding, luggage or seasonal items. It supports a maximum user weight of 220kg. A manufacturer's one year guarantee is included. Proudly made and upholstered in the UK using carefully selected, high-quality materials for lasting comfort and style. About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
