This 140x180cm throw is perfect for snuggling up on chilly nights, and its super-soft microfleece fabric ensures warmth and relaxation. Our Stylist Says

The microfleece throw in black is a versatile and practical addition to any interior. I love its soft texture and cosy feel, making it ideal for adding warmth to beds or sofas without overwhelming the colour scheme. Its neutral black hue works well in both modern and traditional settings, offering a sleek, understated look that can be layered with other textiles. Practical styling tips include draping it loosely over the end of a bed for a relaxed vibe or folding it neatly across a sofa for added comfort and visual interest. Its understated colour and plush fabric make it a reliable staple for creating cosy, inviting spaces.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
