I’m a big fan of the Mia wardrobe for its clean oak frame paired with white-gloss doors and built-in mirror - it instantly brightens a room and feels more refined than a plain white unit. It works particularly well in Scandinavian or contemporary bedrooms, but equally complements a neutral-tone scheme or a soft-pastel nursery. For styling, keep the top surface minimal - perhaps a couple of low vases in muted ceramics and a small potted plant - then hang a simple print or mirror just above. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
