Description

Add a striking modern accent with our Metro Blue Glass Sphere Table Lamp. The blue hue of this table lamp is a wonderful way of adding colour to a sleek minimalist aesthetic. The grey lampshade diffuses a warm glow.

Our Stylist Says

I love the sleek, modern aesthetic of this blue glass lamp - it adds a subtle pop of colour while maintaining a sophisticated look. It works particularly well in contemporary and minimalist interiors, where its geometric silhouette can be a focal point, or in coastal schemes for a fresh, breezy touch. For styling tips, consider placing it on a side table in a living room or on a bedside table to bring in ambient lighting. Pair it with neutral tones or monochrome palettes to let the blue element stand out, and keep the surrounding decor understated to highlight its clean design. The nickel finish adds a touch of refinement, making it versatile enough to blend seamlessly with both metals and soft textiles.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
