Metal Bow Candle Holder Centrepiece

Founded in 1854 by Italian craftsmen Antonio Arighi and Antonio Bianchi, Arighi Bianchi is one of the UK's oldest and most established furniture and interiors retailers. What began as a small workshop producing clocks and cabinets in Macclesfield has evolved over more than 170 years into a destination for premium home furnishings, combining heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design.

A Landmark Store with a Rich Heritage

At the heart of the brand is its iconic four-storey showroom in Macclesfield - a Grade II* listed building inspired by the Crystal Palace - which has become a destination for interior enthusiasts across the UK. Over generations, the family-run business has built a reputation for quality, even supplying furniture to British royalty in its early years.

A Curated Approach to Interiors

Today, Arighi Bianchi offers far more than furniture. Its collections span sofas, dining furniture, beds, lighting, flooring, soft furnishings and accessories, alongside carefully selected brands such as Vispring, Ercol and Stressless. This curated, multi-brand approach allows customers to create cohesive interiors that blend timeless elegance with contemporary style.

From Furniture Store to Lifestyle Destination

In recent years, Arighi Bianchi has evolved beyond traditional retail into a broader lifestyle experience - incorporating in-store design inspiration, curated accessory spaces and even a café to create a more immersive shopping environment. This shift reflects a modern focus on experiential retail, appealing to a new generation of homeowners while staying true to its heritage.

Built on Family Values and Longevity

Still run by the founding family five generations on, Arighi Bianchi continues to balance tradition with innovation. Its long history, commitment to quality and carefully curated product range make it a trusted destination for those looking to invest in furniture and homeware designed to last.
