I’m really taken with the Mesac modular desk and shelf unit for its clever use of vertical space - the slim profile keeps a room feeling open while giving you plenty of handy storage. Its natural wood and white panels sit comfortably in Scandi-inspired, minimalist or contemporary schemes, and it works equally well in a home office, bedroom nook or living room corner. To style, I’d keep desktop clutter to a minimum: a small plant, a couple of neat trays for stationery and one or two favourite books on the mid-height shelf. Introduce texture with a woven desk mat or a simple framed print leaning against the back panel. If you need extra warmth, add a soft task lamp in brass or matt black to contrast with the pale finish.
