The Merton Velvet Cushion offers a blend of texture and design, featuring a soft matte velvet surface complemented by a contrasting linen-look reverse. Its oxford edging on both sides adds a touch of refinement, making it ideal for introducing depth and sophistication to interiors. Crafted to be both stylish and durable, this oblong cushion is perfect for layering with textured cushions to create a cosy environment. With its versatile design, it enhances the aesthetic of living spaces, whether placed on sofas, armchairs, or beds, while maintaining a relaxed yet elevated appeal.
Our Stylist Says
The Merton velvet cushion in Doe offers a subtle touch of luxury that works well across a range of interiors, from classic to modern schemes. I love its versatile hue and plush velvet finish, making it an easy way to add texture and sophistication to sofas, armchairs, or even beds. For styling, consider pairing it with contrasting textures-think linen or tweed-for a layered look, or mixing with bolder colours for an elevated aesthetic. For practical tips, use it to introduce a pop of neutral tone and balance more vibrant cushions nearby, while its feather filling ensures a soft, comfortable feel perfect for lounging.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
