Crafted from wood, the Mercia four poster bed brings a sense of style and opulence to the bedroom, which is set to instantly transform your interior. Please note Birlea beds are only suitable for a UK standard size mattress.
Our Stylist Says
I’m a fan of this sleek four-poster’s matte-black frame and clean lines - it sits just as well in an industrial loft as it does in a Scandi-inspired scheme or a pared-back contemporary room. The simplicity of the design means it won’t overpower your space, yet still makes a confident focal point. For styling, layer crisp white or neutral linen bedding with a few textured throws and scatter cushions in muted tones. A low-pile jute or sisal rug beneath will soften the look, while slim bedside tables in rattan or light timber keep the feel balanced. If you like, hang gauzy curtains from the top rails for an extra cosy touch, or leave them bare to emphasise the frame’s architectural shape. Add a simple pendant lamp and a couple of houseplants to complete the scheme.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
