Description

Consisting of one large Melt shade and two medium Melt shades, the Melt Trio-Round Pendant System is a striking pendant system designed to creates a mesmerising hot-blown glass effect when on and a mirror-finish effect when off. Made in Germany using high-tech manufacturing, it evokes molten glass or the interior of a melting glacier.

Our Stylist Says

I love this pendant system for its sleek, contemporary look that adds a touch of elegance without overpowering a space. The opal glass globes offer a warm, diffused glow that works well in both minimalist and modern interiors, as well as more eclectic spaces where a sculptural light fixture can serve as a statement piece. Practically, it’s very versatile; you can adjust the height of each globe for customised lighting or visual interest. It pairs particularly well with neutral or pastel colour schemes, and looks striking over dining tables or kitchen islands. When styling, consider keeping the surrounding decor understated to let the fixture's sculptural form truly stand out-think clean lines and simple textures.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
