Description

Our Large-Round pendant system is a curated, high-impact arrangement designed to transform any space. Reminiscent of molten glass Melt's abstract form brings a futuristic edge to modern interiors. A true statement whether suspended as a mesmerising centrepiece in an entrance hall or hovering elegantly over a dining table.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Melt large-round pendant for its bold yet minimalist aesthetic, making it a great feature piece in contemporary interiors. Its reflective, metallic finish adds a touch of sophistication and helps it work well in modern, industrial, or eclectic settings. The design's versatility means it can elegantly hang above dining tables, in stairwells, or in open-plan living areas where it acts as a statement element. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral or monochrome palettes to let the metallic sheen stand out, and avoid overcrowding the space to keep its sculptural form in focus. It’s particularly effective when hung at varying heights or in groups to create visual interest and depth.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
