Description

Melt Pendant is a beautifully distorted pendant with a matching ceiling rose. Featuring an integrated LED module, it creates a mesmerising hot-blown glass effect when on and a mirror-finish effect when off. Made in Germany using high-tech manufacturing, it evokes molten glass or the interior of a melting glacier.

Our Stylist Says

The Melt Dichroic Medium Pendant is a striking choice for adding a contemporary touch to modern interiors. I love how its iridescent surface catches the light and shifts colour depending on the angle, making it a dynamic focal point. It works particularly well in minimalist or industrial spaces where its sculptural form can take centre stage, but it can also add a touch of sophistication to eclectic or high-tech environments. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral or matte finishes to really let the glass’s reflective qualities shine, and hang it at varying heights in a cluster for a more dramatic effect in dining rooms or kitchen islands. Its versatile design makes it a great statement piece in both residential and commercial settings.

About Tom Dixon

Established in 2002, Tom Dixon is a British luxury design brand offering contemporary lighting, furniture, and accessories. Their innovative designs are perfect for those looking to make a unique, modern statement in their home.

From Bass Guitar to Design Guru

Tom Dixon isn't your typical designer. Starting as the bass guitarist for Funkapolitan, a twist of fate led him to the world of design after a series of motorbike accidents.

By the 1980s, he was gaining recognition with pieces like the iconic "S' chair for Italian giant Cappellini. By the 90s, his creativity brought him to the forefront of British design, even rejuvenating the Habitat brand.

But it wasn't until 2002 that the Tom Dixon brand was established, with its base in London's King's Cross. The brand, known for pioneering lighting, furniture, and accessories, quickly gained international acclaim and is now represented in 90 countries.

Master of Materials

Tom Dixon's genius lies in his ability to reimagine ordinary materials. From the early days, he transformed found objects and industrial materials into art.

Whether it's the allure of copper, the shine of stainless steel, the imperfections in hand-beaten brass, or the timeless nature of stone, Tom Dixon products always have a unique touch.

His signature products, from the Melt pendant inspired by molten glass to the instantly recognizable Beat, S Chair, and Wingback, can be found in museums like the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and MOMA in New York.

More Than Just Products

Tom Dixon's impact isn't limited to individual items. In 2007, he launched Design Research Studio, which has since redefined spaces around the world.

From the Drugstore Brasserie in Paris to reimagining the modern cruise experience for Virgin Voyages, his design agency creates immersive environments.
