Medway is an adaptation of the wallpaper design Garden Tulip which was designed by William Morris in 1885. In Medway the tulips have been removed to reveal only the background of scrolling leaves and tiny flower heads and could be the perfect accompaniment to Garden Tulip or with a multitude of colours might easily be used in its own right. Shown here in a light neutral colourway. Use the Medway wallpaper for a feature wall in a bedroom or perhaps to cover an entire living room space. This wallpaper is part of the Morris Volume II wallpapers collection. Application Method: paste the wall and then apply wallpaper. Pattern match:Straight. Vertical repeat: 46cm.
The Medway wallpaper is a great choice for adding subtle texture and interest without overwhelming a space. I love its neutral palette, which allows it to work effortlessly in both classic and contemporary interiors. It’s especially well-suited for rooms where you want a calm, understated background-think living rooms or bedrooms-while adding a touch of pattern. For styling tips, consider pairing it with solid-coloured furnishings in muted tones, or layer in natural textures like linen or rattan to enhance its organic feel. Keeping accessories minimal will let the pattern shine, making this wallpaper a versatile backdrop for various decor styles.
