Description
Finished in grey velvet, the Mayfair Double bed frame pairs upholstered comfort with an ottoman storage base, making it a genuinely practical choice as well as a striking one. At 158x208cm, it makes a genuine centrepiece for a modern bedroom, with upholstery that adds a softer, more hotel-like feel than a standard slatted frame. Built-in LED lighting adds a soft, modern glow around the base of the bed, useful both as a subtle night light and as a genuine styling feature that gives the room a hotel-like finish after dark. Rather than losing everything under the bed to dust and difficult access, the gas-assisted lift-up base turns that whole area into a single, easy-to-reach storage space for bedding, luggage or anything else you'd rather have out of sight. The materials are chosen for durability as much as comfort, meaning it's built to be a genuine long-term investment in better sleep rather than something you'll be replacing in a couple of years, with upholstery chosen to keep its colour and texture despite years of getting in and out of bed. It's a particularly good option for anyone in a smaller bedroom or flat where a separate chest of drawers or under-bed boxes simply aren't practical, letting the bed itself take on double duty as both where you sleep and where you store things. On the practical side, assembly is included as standard, so you're not left wrestling with panels and fittings on your own if you'd rather leave it to the experts, and given the size and weight of an upholstered ottoman frame, it's worth having a second pair of hands for the build. With its blend of everyday comfort and contemporary styling, the Mayfair bed frame is a straightforward way to upgrade a bedroom without compromise.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Mayfair Double Ottoman bed for its sleek grey velvet finish and practical storage solution, making it perfect for those looking to maximise space without compromising on style. The LED lighting adds a contemporary touch, creating a cosy ambience, especially in more neutral or modern interiors. It works well in bedroom schemes that aim for a luxurious yet functional look, pairing effortlessly with both soft pastel tones and darker, richer colour schemes. When styling around this bed, consider minimalist bedside accessories and layered bedding to maintain its sophisticated vibe, while keeping clutter out of sight within the ottoman. It’s ideal for urban, contemporary, or even eclectic interiors where practicality meets luxe detail.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
