I’m a fan of the Maybury table for its blend of warm oak and slender black metal legs - it feels both robust and light in any room. Its clean-lined silhouette suits Scandi, industrial or contemporary schemes, and the natural grain means it won’t date.
To style, mix in chairs of varying textures (rattan, upholstered or metal) for a lived-in look, then layer a slim runner and a simple ceramic vase or low bowl of fruit. Because the surface is sealed oak, it’s easy to wipe clean after family meals or dinner parties.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
