Designed by Konstantin Grcic in 2000 for Flos, the May Day Lamp was created as a go-anywhere lamp: a perfect functional and practical piece for lighting anywhere you need it. Winner of the Compasso d'Oro Award in 2001, May Day is crafted with a polypropylene diffuser and a contrasting hook; this small detail allows the lamp to be suspended from wherever you wish, or can act as a cord winder for easy storage of the power cable. Easily operated via a push-button switch on the handle, the May Day Lamp is the ultimate versatile lamp, offering a pared-back, industrial aesthetic that would suit life adorning a desk surface or suspended from a ceiling hook.
