Description
Siza Lounge lounge chair by Mavis is a chair inspired by the Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza and his Pavilhão de Portugal from the 1998 World Expo in Lisbon. The chair is designed by Pierre Sindre, Bruno Mathsson Award winner 2022, and features a sculptural design where the flowing seat and the slender, tapered legs create an airy and elegant expression. With its harmonious form and carefully selected materials, Siza Lounge becomes a natural focal point in the living room, reading nook, or bedroom — a place for rest, reflection, and refined interior design.
Our Stylist Says
I love the Mavis Siza in the way it combines natural materials with a clean, modern aesthetic. The white-pigmented matt lacquered oak lends a subtle warmth and enhances its contemporary feel, while the Cognac Tärnsjö leather seat adds richness and comfort. It's a versatile piece that works well in both minimalist and Scandi-inspired interiors, especially when paired with neutral tones or layered with textured textiles. Practical styling tips include mixing it with other natural materials like wool or linen, or using it to introduce a touch of elegance to a dining space by pairing it with softly coloured ceramics and greenery. Its understated design also means it can double up as a statement accent in a reading nook or lounge corner.
