I’m a fan of this oak shelving unit for its clean lines and warm grain - it brings natural texture without overwhelming a room. Its slim, open-frame design works equally well in Scandi-inspired living rooms, contemporary home offices or even as a subtle divider in a studio apartment.
To style it, mix in small planters, a few art books and a couple of glazed ceramics, leaving at least one shelf mostly clear for breathing space. Keep accessories in odd groupings and repeat one accent colour throughout to tie the look together. Baskets on the lower shelf help conceal clutter, while taller items at eye level balance the overall display.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
