Price History

Description

Elevate your home décor with our Matte Velvet Cushion in Natural. The luxurious matte velvet texture provides comfort and style, while the lattice cross-embroidered design adds an element of sophistication. Measuring 45 x 45cm, it's a versatile accessory for chairs, sofas, and beds, ideal for styling in pairs.

Our Stylist Says

I really love this cushion’s understated elegance and versatility. The matte velvet finish adds a touch of sophistication, while the embroidered design enhances its tactile appeal. It works well in both contemporary and traditional interiors, particularly when paired with neutral or soft colour schemes. For practical styling, try mixing it with textured throws or layering with other cushions in different sizes and fabrics to create a cosy, inviting look. It’s perfect for adding a subtle luxe feel to sofas or beds without overpowering the space, making it a smart choice for those looking to elevate their decor with minimal effort.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
