Our Stylist Says
I often reach for the Gridlock shelf for its clean lines and flexible module system - the black-stained ash feels both warm and graphic, so it slips easily into everything from a pared-back Scandi living room to an industrial-style home office. The open structure means you can play with depth, alternating rows of books laid flat with upright volumes, small plants and low-profile art pieces. To style it successfully, aim for a balance of tone and texture: group similar colours together, mix in woven storage boxes for concealed clutter, and allow negative space on a couple of shelves to keep the overall look uncluttered. A slim LED strip along the top shelf will highlight any decorative objects without overwhelming the frame.

About Nordic Nest
An Odyssey in Scandinavian Design
Established in 2002, Nordic Nest underwent a transformation in name from Scandinavian Design Center in 2019. However, its core ethos remained unchanged - to introduce the world to the elegance and simplicity of Scandinavian interior design.
Today, it's not just a brand; it's a hallmark of premium Nordic design, offering a selection of over 30,000 products. From classic iconic pieces to contemporary marvels, the company provides a design experience that captures the very essence of a Scandinavian home - personal, timeless, and filled with memories.
Commitment to Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability
Nordic Nest isn't just about aesthetics; it's also about ethics. The company stands firm on its corporate social responsibility, emphasising employee well-being, promoting diversity and gender equality, and ensuring that business practices are transparent and ethical.
They're also making strides in environmental efforts, always seeking to reduce their carbon footprint. This focus on sustainability and corporate responsibility isn't just for today, but with an eye on the future, ensuring that both their designs and their business practices stand the test of time.
Bridging Cultures Through Translation
In today's interconnected world, language shouldn't stand in the way. To ensure their customers around the world can easily browse and shop, Nordic Nest partnered with Contentor, a company specialising in translations, to offer their website in multiple languages.
Their online shop, now available in ten languages, shows their commitment to localised content, ensuring that every visitor feels a personal connection.
Working with Contentor, Nordic Nest has focused on more than just translating words. They've worked together to create a full, enjoyable shopping experience for customers everywhere. This dedication to making customers happy has made Nordic Nest a favourite spot for lovers of Scandinavian design all over the world.
