Price History

Description

Handmade from 100% wool, the Massimo rug is designed by La Redoute Intérieurs. Its textured finish reveals a graphic, contemporary pattern, directly inspired by the seventies. Product Details • 100% wool • 2500g/m2 • Pile height 0.5cm • Weaving type: Handmade • Underfloor heating compatible:Yes • Interior Use: Yes • For outdoor use: No • Graphic decor with a textured finish • Artisanal craftsmanship. Quality • Wool is a warm and comfortable fibre. A wool rug is also an excellent thermal and sound insulator. • Hand-braided, each piece is unique and may have small irregularities which make it authentic.. Colours and dimensions may vary slightly. Care information • Once unrolled, you must wait a few days for the carpet to return to its initial shape. • To keep the edges flat, roll your mat in the opposite direction. Leave it like this for an hour then put it back flat and place a heavy object on it for 2 days. • New, the carpet may give off an odour which dissipates over time. Ventilate your room regularly to reduce it. • To preserve its appearance, rotate your rug regularly in one direction or the other to minimise localised wear in the same places (due to successive passages), and loss of colour due to regular light exposure. Care instructions • Some materials are very fibrous (such as wool) Wool rugs pill naturally during the first few months: this is normal, because the carpet "bursts" by rejecting its excess fibres. Remove the fluff as much as possible by hand and do not use the vacuum cleaner in brushing mode, as this has the effect of pulling the fibres and tearing them off. The pilling will improve over time. • For maintenance, we advise you to vacuum it very little for the first month and then to vacuum it without rubbing too much, always without using the brush.. • Compatible with robot vacuum cleaners: No • Remove stains immediately with a clean, damp cloth. • Dry clean recommended. Dimensions • Width 120 x Length 170cm • Width 160 x Length 230cm • Width 200 x Length 290cm • OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. The OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification scheme monitors textile products for harmful substances through an independent, international certification scheme.

Our Stylist Says

The Massimo 100% Wool Rug is a versatile choice that adds warmth and texture to a variety of interiors. I love how its natural wool finish lends a cosy, understated elegance, making it well-suited for both modern and more traditional spaces. It works particularly well under a statement sofa like this, anchoring the room with its soft, durable surface. For styling tips, consider pairing it with neutral tones to highlight its natural fibres, or add colourful cushions and throws to create a layered, inviting look. Practical advice would be to rotate it regularly to prevent wear and use a rug pad to keep it in place, ensuring it stays looking its best for years to come.

About La Redoute

Founded in 1837, La Redoute brings French-inspired style and elegance to your home. From trendy pieces to enduring essentials, La Redoute provides options to create a stylish and inviting space.

A Legacy of French Fashion

La Redoute has been around for 180 years. It started as a place that made wool products and grew into a popular online store for home and fashion items from France.

They've always tried to bring the unique French style to everyone and have changed with the times, especially in understanding the changing roles of women. For them, it's not just about selling products; it's about celebrating the art of everyday living and the quintessential French "je ne sais quoi".

Sustainability and Environmental Consciousness

La Redoute's commitment to the environment and sustainability is unwavering. They have taken commendable steps like joining the Better Cotton Initiative and ensuring their paper stock comes from sustainably-managed forests.

As a proud member of the Fur Free Retailer Program, they stand against the use of real fur and certain other materials, showcasing their concern for animal well-being.

Their transportation choices, too, echo their eco-conscious ethos. By using means like barges and trains, they actively reduce CO2 emissions, highlighting their drive to make choices beneficial for the planet.

Championing Social Responsibility

Beyond its fashion-forward vision, La Redoute actively champions societal values. Their signature on the UN's Global Compact underscores their commitment to sustainable development.

They take pride in being accessible to all, with their website catering to both the hearing and visually impaired. Moreover, La Redoute's dedication to social causes is evident in their support for equal opportunities, their stand against violence towards women through partnerships like Solfa, and their endeavours to empower employees, fostering a culture of responsible entrepreneurship.
