Description

Marston Small Metal Coolie Cluster Pendant, Antique Brass

Our Stylist Says

I really like this small metal coolie cluster pendant in antique brass - it has a versatile industrial charm that works well in both contemporary and vintage-inspired interiors. It’s perfect for adding visual interest over kitchen islands, dining tables, or in a cosy corner of a living room. When styling, consider pairing it with exposed brick or neutral tones to bring out its warm brass finish, or use it to add a touch of urban sophistication in more minimal schemes. Practical tips include hanging it at varying heights for an engaging focal point or grouping it with other pendant styles to create a layered lighting effect. Overall, its compact size and distinctive finish make it a reliable choice to add personality without overwhelming the space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
