Description

Marston Metal Coolie Cluster Pendant, Copper

Our Stylist Says

The Marston Metal Coolie Cluster Pendant in copper offers a versatile and contemporary take on industrial-style lighting. I love how its warm copper finish brings a touch of warmth and sophistication, making it ideal for modern kitchens, dining areas, or open-plan living spaces. It works particularly well when grouped over kitchen islands or dining tables, adding visual interest without overwhelming the room. For styling, consider pairing it with natural textures like wood or stone for a balanced look, and keep the surrounding colour palette neutral or muted to allow the pendants to stand out as a focal point. Practical tips include hanging at varying heights to create dynamic visual lines and ensuring ample clearance to avoid obstruction in busy areas. Overall, this fixture is a smart, stylish addition that bridges functionality with aesthetic appeal.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
